Bird flies in Henley

SAVILLS senior lettings negotiator Ali Bird won the Henley Sprint Triathlon which took place on Sunday.

SAVILLS senior lettings negotiator Ali Bird won the Henley Sprint Triathlon which took place on Sunday.

Ali, who won the overall ladies’ sprint race in a time of one hour 22 minutes in her age category (45 to 49), has just returned to the sport following back surgery in 2012. The course, organised by UK Triathlon and hosted by Gillotts, included a 400m swim, a 20km bike ride in Rotherfield Greys, Peppard and Harpsden and a 5km run around the Gillotts playing fields.

Ali said: “The event was very well organised and competitive and has really put Henley on the map for triathletes.”

- both novices and those who are more experienced. There were a huge number of supporters and spectators (including several of our landlords and tenants) at both this event and the Children’s Triathlon which took place on Saturday.”







Ali is competing for the first time in the forthcoming Henley Swim this Sunday, June 30. It starts at the regatta course at 4.30am.
