Literary sponsorship

International real estate advisers Savills sponsored the Afghan Connection Literary Events 2013, held at Bradfield College.

International real estate advisers Savills sponsored the Afghan Connection Literary Events 2013, held at Bradfield College.

At the literary evening on July 1, 300 people turned out to hear James Naughtie interview The Right Reverend and Right Honourable The Lord Williams of Oystermouth, former Archbishop of Canterbury.

He gave a frank, enlightening and, at times, moving interview which left the audience with much to think about. The following day, Clive Anderson, patron of Afghan Connection, a charity which funds and supports schools, teachers and sports opportunities across Afghanistan, teamed up with this year’s literary lunch guest, Rose Tremain CBE, award winning author and current Chancellor of the University of East Anglia.

The audience was treated to Clive’s sharp wit complemented by an in-depth insight to the author’s work. Both events also included a moving introduction from Dr Sarah Fane OBE, CEO and founder of the Afghan Connection.
