Estate agents give back with charity day

HENLEY-BASED estate agents Knight Frank are planning to hold a Day of Giving on Wednesday, October 10.

HENLEY-BASED estate agents Knight Frank are planning to hold a Day of Giving on Wednesday, October 10.

Office manager, Sue Lewis said: “Charity and community forms part of the Building Foundations framework and the Day of Giving is an opportunity for Knight Frank to be seen to be giving something back.

“To start with, the Day of Giving has been adopted in the UK, and depending upon the success of this first year, we will then look to launch globally in the future.

Understandably the Henley office has opted for rowing as one of its activities. They will be rowing the Henley Regatta Course, not on the river though but in the office with ergo machines on loan from Henley Rowing Club, care of Captain Nick Mead.

Friends, family, local businesses and clients are all invited to pop along on the day and lend their support and make a donation. The fastest rower of the day gets a small gift!

For the Day of Giving, they have chosen five charities, all related to children and young people. They are LandAid, Kids’ Company, Mary’s Meals, The MPS Society and Barnardo’s. The money will be divided with 50 per cent of the total raised going to LandAid, the property industry’s charity supporting disadvantaged young people across the UK. The remainder will be split equally between Kids’ Company, Mary’s Meals, MPS Society and Barnardo’s.

Online donations can be made on the Virgin Giving page at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/knightfrankdayofgiving Others may prefer to donate by either cash or cheque.
