TWO new faces have joined the property scene in Henley in recent weeks. Chancellors has appointed a new sales manager, Martin Haywood, while Charlotte Knight has joined the lettings department at Knight Frank.

Martin has a wealth of experience in the property industry having managed various estate agencies in Oxford for many years before setting up and running his own successful estate agency business in Cheshire and North Wales.

Born and schooled in Abingdon, Martin has a degree in property valuation and management and has been a fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents for 20 years. He has now returned to his roots to manage the Chancellors Henley branch and is well known for his passionate approach to customer service and ethical business approach to property matters.

He said: “Only four weeks in and I’m really pleased to be part of the award-winning team at Chancellors. Their high-quality marketing of a client’s property and the care and attention to detail makes the buying and selling processes less complicated and fraught. The company has all the benefits of size but still values individuality with an emphasis both on professionalism and personal qualities. The Henley market is extremely buoyant at the moment. In my opinion Henley’s house prices have remained consistent due to the excellent level of demand.”

Charlotte Knight joins the lettings department of Knight Frank, covering the very best parts of Henley and the surrounding area.

She brings enthusiasm and determination, together with many years of experience in the property industry, having worked in both sales and lettings. As a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), Charlotte ensures the best levels of service and compliance for clients are maintained.

Gordon Hood, office head of residential lettings, said: “There have been some tremendous achievements for the lettings team in Henley, a year after its launch last November. The team has successfully rented some of the best properties in and around the town.

“The rental market in the area continues to be active, even after the peak of the summer months. There are individuals and families, together with the demand from local corporates, for good rental properties.”
