£17m for expansion

A MARINE fuel distributor based in Henley has received £17 million from Lloyds Bank to fund its expansion.

A MARINE fuel distributor based in Henley has received £17 million from Lloyds Bank to fund its expansion.

Sea Bunkering, which is part of the Geos Group in Station Road, hopes to create new jobs.

The money will go towards the construction of a fuel storage facility at Blyth port in Northumberland with the rest being spent on infrastructure.

Barry Newton, managing director of the Geos Group, said: “We have experienced rapid growth and the development of the storage terminal is the next step in our strategy to further increase our performance and capacity.”

The company specialises in the buying, selling, storage and distribution of marine oil gas using its own fleet of trucks and cargo ships.
