Christmas wreaths from local craftswoman

A WOMAN who makes Christmas wreaths in Henley says she loves searching woods for materials

A WOMAN who makes Christmas wreaths in Henley says she loves searching woods for materials.

Jane Wilson, 48, runs her own workshop at Singers Lane Arts and Crafts Centre, where she also makes floral table decorations, sculptures and ceramics for all seasons.

Materials such as flowers, silk, twigs, berries and feathers are locally sourced, including from the woods in Nettlebed and Highmoor. She said: ?I?m always foraging and that?s the bit I love most. A lot of the trees near the roundabout in Nettlebed have been cut down so I go foraging there. Some friends have let me in their gardens to pick holly. Sometimes I look in churchyards and think ?I would like the berries off those trees? but I daren?t do that.?
