GORING-BASED estate agency Jackson-Stops & Staff has something to celebrate after its negotiator scooped a National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) award.
James Dawson collected a trophy for the highest achievement in his field in the Level 3 Technical Award for the sale of residential property, having completed NFOPP exams in general law, residential property sales practice, construction methods and defects and property appraisals.
“It was an unexpected honour to receive this award, and I hope this demonstrates Jackson-Stops’ commitment to professionalism and our strength in the South Oxfordshire property market,” said James, 27, who has been a negotiator for Jackson-Stops for more than four years, also working at the Newbury branch. “It helps boost both my profile and the profile of the company in a competitive market place. I feel this recognition gives us the edge over our competitors.”
James said the driving force for completing his qualifications was to provide a better service for his clients.
“I found the course invaluable,” said James. “It’s always good to recap on the things you already know, and essential to keep on top of best practice for the future.
“This year looks to be an exciting one, with demand in all price ranges remaining strong and our list of potential buyers at its highest level for some time.
“With the recent changes to the stamp duty rate, the likelihood of continuing low interest rates and the limited stock of properties coming to the market now presents a good opportunity to sell.
“The election may well have an impact on the market, however we feel some people may not be prepared to wait.”
