Empty shop re-opened by Moda in Pelle shoes

A NEW shoe shop will open in Henley tomorrow (Saturday)

A NEW shoe shop will open in Henley tomorrow (Saturday).

Moda in Pelle has taken over the former Blockbuster store in Market Place, which had been empty for more than two years.

Moda was founded in 1975 and has almost 60 stores and concessions nationally.

The Henley store is its third to open this year.

A company spokeswoman said: ?Henley is part of our expansion plan for the brand. It will be an exclusive store as it will have a new logo and shop fit.?

Meanwhile, Louise Claire Millinery has moved into the former Revolution store, also in Market Place.

Revolution closed in May 2013 but the premises was renamed Brides of Henley when it was used as a location for a TV drama last summer.

Louise Walton has taken a short-term lease on the premises until August but hope to buy the property.

Ms Walton has owned a shop in Wallingford for 10 years and said she already had many customers in Henley.

?They are really pleased we?re opening,? she added.
