THE Wallingford branch of Davis Tate gave year five pupils at Crowmarsh Gifford C of E Primary School a taste of what it’s like to be an estate agent — with a project to ‘sell’ their own houses to prospective buyers.

Melissa Wright, assistant manager at the Wallingford branch, said: “My daughter Jemima and her classmates have been studying persuasive writing and their teacher Mrs Butler decided to incorporate this into an estate agency project, with the help of Davis Tate.

“They all embraced the homework and put some real thought and effort into them, with a brochure and floor plan. They were all so good that we couldn’t decide on a winner — they are all winners!”

Daughter Jemima said it was a great experience for her and her classmates — Laura Cowan, Jack Martin, Sophie Sutherland, Sam Taylor, Emily Saunders, Elena Bromidge, Anna Csibi and Xavi Batt.

As a reward for their efforts, Davis Tate awarded the children with a book voucher and has also been showcasing the children’s work in its window display.
