Broadband delay no 4

THE installation of superfast broadband in two villages has been delayed for the fourth time.

THE installation of superfast broadband in two villages has been delayed for the fourth time.

Bix and Middle Assendon were due to get the service by the end of last year but that deadline was pushed back.

BT Openreach says it needed a landowner’s permission to connect a power cable to the villages’ exchange cabinet at the top of Fair Mile in Henley.

The company, which is responsible for internet infrastructure across the UK, says this should be done by the end of next week and the faster connection will be available by January 31 “at the latest.”

The work was originally meant to be carried out at the start of last year but was delayed three times.
