London’s calling anyone keen to sell their property this year

THE latest research from estate agent Hamptons International reveals that in the past 12 months 63,000 Londoners made the decision to buy homes outside the capital.
This represents the largest number of Londoners leaving the capital for eight years.
In an effort to meet this demand, Hamptons is holding its annual roadshow in the capital on Saturday, March 12.
The event runs from 11am to 3pm in several London branches — so don’t forget to register your property to take part.
The deadline is on Monday (March 7).
Hampton’s head of sales Marc Goldberg noted that as the gap between prices in London and the South grows, so do the number of Londoners moving out.
He said: “Last year, Londoners spent a total of £24billion on homes outside London, up from £14billion in 2014. Interestingly, last year also saw 11,000 more first-time buyers choose to buy their first home outside of the capital — 70 per cent more than in 2014 — showing it is not just families looking to leave for more space and better value.”
Hampton’s Henley branch manager James Butler added: “Our annual roadshows are a great way to get your property seen by those further afield. If you just let us know you wish to take part, we’ll show your property at our participating branches in London on Saturday, March 12.”
