MAYFAIR auctioneers Dix Noonan Webb are to hold a valuation day in Henley focusing on jewellery and coins.
As international market leaders in coins, medals, tokens and paper money, the firm has lately expanded its expertise to include jewellery. It will be holding regular valuation days in Henley to offer an up-to-date market valuation on items.
Jewellery specialist Frances Noble and coin specialist Jim Brown will be at the Leander Club on Thursday (April 14) from 10am to 2pm. They will be available by appointment to offer confidential valuations, free of charge and without obligation, with a view to possible sale at Dix Noonan Webb’s Mayfair auction rooms.
Frances joined the firm in November to head up the newly established jewellery department, having started her career at Phillips Auctioneers in Bond Street back in 1987. A keen member of the Society of Jewellery Historians, she has contributed articles to assorted professional magazines and publications.
Jim’s interest in coins began at the age of six when his mother, a sub-postmistress, brought Victorian bun pennies home from work. His first job in coins came when he joined BA Seaby in 1974 as a junior in the foreign coin department, working under the tutelage of the late Margaret Amstell, with whom he travelled widely, meeting clients on three continents.
Dix Noonan Webb has a state-of-the art cataloguing and auction system, enabling clients’ goods to be viewed online as soon as the lot has been photographed and catalogued. To book an appointment, call 0207 016 1700 or email email@example.com
