A WATLINGTON business pulled in £1million worth of orders for its bespoke garden rooms and gazebos at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Crown Pavilions unveiled its new cinema room to the public and said this was an excellent sales driver.
Director Luke Dejahang said: “Chelsea is a huge investment for us but this year it paid off. I’ve never seen our stand so busy. From members of the public to high-profile celebrities, it’s the busiest show we’ve done all year.”
Made from Canadian cedar, the pavilions use the latest video and audio technology.
Mr Dejahang said: “Our customers’ needs have changed in the last few years — many don’t want to move or extend as they’ve already done that, so they’re looking to make the most of the garden instead.
“Forget the rickety old summer houses of yesteryear, nowadays people want all the tech they enjoy inside the house to be on-hand outside too. We focus very much on quality and longevity and we use the finest materials because our garden rooms are significant investments.”
Mr Dejahang said orders were 23 per cent up on the previous year.
