THE parent-staff association at Caversham Park Primary School raised the money for a defibrillator in less than two months.
The idea was put forward by association secretary Becky Collins, who was inspired by the Millie’s Dream appeal.
Fundraising activities included a toy, book and uniform sale and a heart bake cake sale with cakes donated by parents.
One parent completed the Reading half marathon and raised £350 through sponsorship. There were also donations from Teleprove, MF Hydraulics and Smarter Cleaning.
Headteacher Gail Ray said she wanted to thank the parents, children and local businesses who had enabled to school to have such a vital piece of lifesaving equipment.
