JUDGE Francis Sheridan will give a talk on his career as the latest in the supper talk series at St Katherine’s, Parmoor.
The talk, on September 26, will raise funds for the retreat centre which is home to the Sue Ryder Prayer Fellowship and was founded by Lady Sue Ryder.
Judge Sheridan will share his memories of a career which spanned from barrister and successful prosecutor to judge and will include many fascinating anecdotes.
Judge Sheridan recalls his career from a young man called to the bar when armed robberies were all the rage with London criminals, through to the rise and rise of drug dealers and the violent crime that went with that.
The talk will be followed by a two-course supper and Judge Sheridan will then answer questions over coffee. The event is not licensed but audience members are welcome to bring their own drinks and glasses.
