JOHNNY DEPP has been spotted filming his latest film in Hambleden.
The Hollywood star was shooting Into the Woods, a musical fantasy film which also stars Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.
Depp plays the big bad wolf in the film, which is based on the eponymous Broadway musical.
Courtney Brennan spotted Depp while watching her seven-year-old daughter’s tennis lesson at Hambleden Tennis Club, which is next to the field where the filming took place.
She said: “It was a nice sunny day but there was all this mist. I looked over and they were setting it up to make it murky and then he just sort of came through the smoke.
“It was really unexpected but I knew who he was straightaway because he had such presence.”
Mrs Brennan’s daughter, Ava, also recognised the film star, who was wearing a brown smock and black trousers.
Mrs Brennan, 42, said. “They were pretty close, probably a few yards away. It was kind of crazy because my daughter was having her tennis lesson and Johnny Depp was in the field next door.
“There were a lot of people there, a good few hundred, with lots of vehicles. It seemed like it was going to be quite a grand film.”
Depp’s 1999 film Sleepy Hollow was shot on location in Hambleden.
