Members of Henley Golf Club raised £260 on their captains’ day to enable Bishopswood Special

Members of Henley Golf Club raised £260 on their captains’ day to enable Bishopswood Special School to participate in the dragon boat racing at the Regatta for the Disabled held at Phyllis Court Club. The children were supported by their families and all the participants had a fantastic time. The Bishopwood adult team finished third out of six crews. Henley Golf Club profcessionla Mark Howell will continue to coach the children in their golf for the rest of the year at both the club and their school in Sonning Common. Tamsin Johns, chairwoman of the Bishopswood School Association, said: “Thank you to the golf club for raising the sponsorship money to enable the Bishopswood pupils to take part in the dragon boat racing. Everyone benefited greatly from the experience.”
