MORE than 160 people took part in a fund-raising activities weekend in the Lake District organised by Henley investment company Invesco Perpetual.
Twenty-seven teams from the firm and other finance companies climbed three of England’s highest mountains, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and Kirk Fell, cycled 45km to Coniston Water and raced canoes across the lake.
They raised almost £100,000 for the Youth Adventure Trust, a Wiltshire charity for vulnerable children.
Invesco Perpetual has now raised more than £1million this way since 2008.
Head of marketing David Bower said: “Once again it was a hugely successful event for such a good cause.”
