Parkinsons Christmas dinner

Parkinsons Christmas dinner

Feast for fifty: pensioners attended a Christmas lunch organised by the Henley branch of Parkinson’s UK. The event took place at the Christ Church Centre in Reading Road, whose volunteers cooked and served the three-course meal followed by coffee and mince pies. The Sainsbury’s supermarket in Bell Street, Henley, which is supporting the branch as its charity for 2016, paid for the food while individual supporters donated prizes for a raffle. Branch chairman Terry Dudeney said: “It was an excellent afternoon. The Christ Church Centre always provides an amazing meal so we get a good attendance and everyone looks forward to it enormously.” Pictured (left) are, left to right, Margaret Gibson, branch chairman Terry Dudeney, Nickie Page, Malcolm Adams, Gill Meire and Hylton Meire.
