Dinner raises £3,000 for counselling service

A DINNER raised £3,000 for Henley charity Riverside Counselling.

More than 100 guests enjoyed a two-course meal at St Katharine’s Parmoor.

The Pavlova Wind Quintet played during the drinks reception and Ross Duncan, a Gillotts School pupil and DJ known as The Stepper, provided a set.

Maggie Atkinson, of Queen Street, Henley, ran a live auction with prizes including a champagne picnic on board The Floating Garden, a home-cooked curry supper for 12 and a weekend in a Cornish lodge donated by Mick Muston.

Jo Roberts, fund-raiser for Riverside Counselling, said: “The money raised will go towards the ongoing costs of providing affordable professional counselling for people in the Henley community. Thank you to all those who attended the dinner and those who always offer their support to us.”
