Mayor’s pancake race

THE Mayor of Henley’s fourth annual pancake race will be held in Market Place on March 8.

The event will take the form of a knockout competition and will start at 11am with registration from 10.30am.

Teams of four will have to run a course in front of the town hall and flip their pancake four times per lap. There will be two categories: one for under-12s and another for teenagers and adults. Participants are encouraged to wear silly hats.

Proceeds will go to the Chiltern Centre for disabled children, the Riverside counselling service, the Sue Ryder hospice at Nettlebed and the Oxfordshire branches of Headway and Age UK. Entry is £5 per person.

To enter, email Mayor Stefan Gawrysiak at stefan.gawry@gmail.com
