A CHARITY which helps children and adults with learning difficulties and mental illness is moving to Peppard.
The Ways and Means Trust will relocate to Manor Farm from Caversham, where it has been based for 44 years.
The trading estate, off the B481, is already home to the Greenshoots Nursery Plant Centre, which is funded by the trust.
The charity chose Manor Farm after considering possible alternative properties in Caversham. If it had failed to find a new home it would have been forced to close.
In a statement, the trust said: “This move will provide the charity with one central location, thereby able to offer the same training and employment opportunities but in a more modern, purposely adapted building. In addition, it hopes to increase the number of people benefiting from the charity’s services, plus expand and provide new opportunities for those in the local community.”
