Charity to expand

A CHARITY which helps people with a brain injury has been given a lease on a garage to turn it into a rehabilitation room.

Headway now needs to raise £40,000 to convert the building next to its existing centre in Greys Road into a treatment room with exercise machines, a full-wall mirror and an area which can be used to practise walking.

Wendy Carlson, general manager at Headway, said: “We don’t have enough room in our current building and we have long wanted to convert the garage into a rehabilitation space.”

The garage was signed over to the charity by Henley Mayor Stefan Gawrysiak on behalf of the council last week.
