TWO young boys saved the day at the Mayor of Henley’s pancake race on Saturday.
Ollie James, eight, and Jools Buckett, six, joined Mayor Stefan Gawrysiak’s team when he discovered at the last moment he had only himself and deputy mayor Martin Akehurst ready to take part.
The makeshift team was one of four that took part in the knock-out event in the town centre on Saturday.
The four members of each team each had to run the length of Market Place while flipping a pancake four times before passing it on to the next team member.
The winners for the second year in a row were the Henley brownies, who won all three of their races.
