Cancer fundraiser rows to Henley

A CANCER survivor rowing from Oxford to London should arrive in Henley on Monday.

Sam Greatrex, 29, is expected at about 6pm and he will spend the night here before setting off again the next day.

He is part of an eight-man crew taking on the 100-mile challenge to raise money for cancer charity Macmillan.

Later this year he will take part in Lap the World, a 32,000-mile row and cycle around the world and he hopes to raise £240,000.

Mr Greatrex, from Birmingham, was diagnosed with cancer when he was 10 but made a full recovery.
