All ages take part in Sport Relief Mile

About 180 people took part in Caversham AFC’s third Sport Relief Mile in Emmer Green on Sunday.

They ran either one, three or six miles around the club’s grounds off Caversham Park Road and the neighbouring Clayfield Copse. Each was given a medal and a bottle of water at the finish.

Organiser Mandy Champion said: “People seemed to enjoy it despite the weather - there was sun, wind, rain and hail in the morning then it became sunny again. The event was very successful and I’m sure we’ll do it again.”
