Donate a slate fund

AN appeal has been launched for repairs to Nettlebed Village Club.

The club is more than 100 years old and recently needed emergency repairs for broken tiles. During the Second World War the building was used for billeting soldiers and for dishing out supplies.

There will be a number of fundraising events at the club, including table-top sales and a rock ’n’ roll evening in November, and a “donate a slate” fund has begun. Donors will be listed within the club.

Cheques should be made payable to Nettlebed Village Club and sent to: The treasurer, Nettlebed Village Club, 32 High Street, Nettlebed, RG9 5DD.
