Sale of baby clothes and equipment raises £2,000

A SALE of nearly new baby and toddler goods raised £2,000 for the National Childbirth Trust.

Almost 300 people attended the event at the Christ Church Centre in Reading Road, Henley, which was organised by the charity’s Henley, Twyford and District branch.

There were dozens of stalls selling used toys, clothes, shoes and equipment. Stallholders raised £50 by selling cakes and hot drinks.

Co-ordinator Catherine Neil said: “We were very happy with how it went — it was very well-organised.” The proceeds will go towards the branch’s projects, including Bumps and Babies coffee mornings at St Mary’s Church in Wargrave and the d:two Centre in Henley.
