Opening delayed

THE opening of a new staff block at a Wargrave charity has been delayed.

The £150,000 building at Camp Mohawk, a day centre in Highfield Road for children with special needs, was due to open at the end of this month.

Centre manager Luke Jansen said: “Due to a recent family bereavement it has become necessary to postpone the upcoming opening of the new staff building as it coincides with the date for the funeral.

“We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience and will be arranging another date shortly.”

The building will provide new eating, changing and washing facilities for the 15 staff and up to 12 volunteers who work for the charity.
