Cyclists put in the miles for hospice charity

ABOUT 130 cyclists took part in this year’s eighth annual Ride for Ryder event on Sunday.

They were raising money for the Sue Ryder hospice in Nettlebed by riding either 60, 25 or 10 miles around the Chilterns.

The total will not be known for another month but each participant was asked to raise at least £100.

Competitors started and finished at the hospice and had their performances chip-timed.

The riders on the 10-mile route went to Checkendon before returning via Nuffield while those on the 25-mile route went as far as Stokenchurch.
