Duo tackle Britain's oldest road for charity

A COUPLE from Henley will attempt to walk 50 miles along Britain’s oldest road for charity.

Businessman Chris Ward, 62, will tackle the Ridgeway tomorrow (Saturday) with wife Louise, 49, and family and friends. They will walk from Avebury in Wiltshire to Wallingford, beginning at 6am and aiming to finish by midnight.

Mr Ward, of Lambridge Wood Road, said they hoped to raise around £2,000 for youth and community project Nomad, the Chiltern Centre for disabled children, Riverside Counselling and Age UK Oxfordshire.
