Messy Church given £384 for storage unit

THE Messy Church held at the Christ Church Centre in Henley has received a cash boost.

Henley Lions Club presented it with a cheque for £384 to pay for a storage unit to organise and keep the paper and card used in the children’s activities.

Activity leader Debbie Byrne said: “It was an answer to our prayer, really. We had been researching these particular storage units because we needed one, so when we had a call from the Lions we were thrilled. It was perfect timing.”

Messy Church is Christian worship based on crafts and art, celebration and eating together. It takes place at the centre in Reading Road on the second Friday of each month from 4pm. For more information, call (01491) 577733 or visit http://christchurchhenley.org.uk
