Cross country race raises charity cash

TWELVE staff from Flint House in Goring raised more than £3,000 for charity by running across Britain.

The team, who work at the police rehabilitation centre off Reading Road, took part in the Wolfpack Running relay from London to Cardiff.

They set off from Twickenham Stadium and arrived at the Welsh capital’s Millennium Stadium just 16 minutes shy of 24 hours later.

The staff were the seventh out of 21 teams to finish overall and the first who were travelling with a support crew.

Their route took them through Henley and along public footpaths to Peppard and then Woodcote before joining the Ridgeway at Goring.
