Tennis tournament raises over £3k

A TENNIS tournament in Sonning Common raised more than £3,000 for charity.

Ninety women took part in matches at eight courts at homes in and around Sonning Common.

They paid to take part and all money raised will go to the Riverside Counselling Service in Henley.

Annie Abbey-Quinn, 58, who organised the tournament, then hosted a lunch and shopping event at her home in Blackmore Lane.

Jo Roberts and Sheila Thorne, from Wargrave, provided a two-course lunch and Andy Card, of Riverways Farm, donated strawberries.
