38 Degrees campaigners protest in Henley

PROTESTERS were in Henley on Saturday to spread awareness of their Stop the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership campaign.

Members of 38 Degrees handed out leaflets in Market Place and asked people to sign a petition calling for the partnership to be scrapped.

The group, which has more than 2.5 million members, claims the partnership will allow companies to sue governments if they make decisions affecting big businesses profits, stop future governments from rolling back privatisation of public services and relax the rules which protect consumers, the environment and welfare and health services.v
