The internet? Well, suppose I could try it...

SOMEWHAT reluctantly, Janet Leaver is learning how to use a computer — and her husband is not happy about it.

The 78-year-old has started taking lessons at the Over-60s Club in Market Place, Henley, which has just taken delivery of four refurbished machines.

Mrs Leaver, a member of the club who lives in Henley, said: “I haven’t got a computer at home and I think the time is coming when everybody has got to use one whether you want one or not.

“I don’t particularly want to but I am going to have to do it because it is so much easier. I want to be able to look up things or to pay the rates. I would like to get one for home — much to my husband’s disgust.”

Henley Computer Support, which is based in Bell Street, donated the computers after being introduced to the club by charity fund-raiser Emma Lerche Thomson.
