Fun day raises more than £5k

A FUN day held by the Wyfold branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association has raised more than £5,000.

Despite being held on the wettest day of the year so far, the event was hailed a huge success by organisers.

Riding demonstrations included mounted games, horse ball, dressage to music and a musical ride based on the theme of The Jungle Book.

There were competitions, games, stalls and a barbecue lunch.

The event raised £5,500 through stalls and the sale of raffle tickets.
