Cyclists ride out in aid of churches

CYCLISTS set out across Oxfordshire on Saturday to raise money for the county’s historic churches.

The annual Ride and Stride event is organised by the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust and also attracts walkers and horse-riders.

Participants visit as many churches as they can during the day.

Robin Fieth and six other cyclists were waved off from Pyrton Church by Henley MP John Howell and went on to visit 38 churches.

Mr Fieth said: “We had a great day. Some years I have raced around on my own, clocking up as many churches as possible.
