Adventurous grandson to speak at charity dinner

A MAN who rowed the Atlantic and cycled almost 9,000 miles for charity is to visit Wargrave next month.

Adam Wolley, who raised more than £350,000, takes part in the Wargrave and Shiplake Regatta each year as his mother Mary was brought up in the village.

He has been invited to speak about his two challenges at a dinner organised by the Wargrave branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Mr Wolley, 26, who lives in south London, was approached by branch member and family friend Gaye Hudson.

He said: “She and my mother are best friends from childhood and Gaye suggested that I might give a good talk.
