Mother of boy who lost his hair raising money for research

A MOTHER whose young son suffers from hair loss has organised a dinner to raise funds for research into his condition.

Melanie Doig, from Emmer Green, is the fund-raising manager for Autoimmune Alopecia Research UK.

Her son Ethan, 11, who attends Emmer Green Primary School, began to lose his hair when he was just four.

Mrs Doig said: “Ethan started to lose his hair on Boxing Day 2007. He was later diagnosed with alopecia and within four months had lost all his hair.

“He has had to deal with the challenges of this ever since.”
