Second open garden day in aid of special school

A CHARITY open garden day held at Woodland House in Henley raised more than £400.

The event at the large house and neighbouring Rose Cottage in Wargrave Road on Saturday was organised by and in aid of Bishopswood Special School in Sonning Common.

There were more than 60 visitors, including pupils from the school and residents of Henley and Wargrave.

The event featured a woodland walk around the grounds and an animal picture trail and there were stalls selling goods including cakes, preserves and knitwear.

Visitors could also buy cards made by children in the school’s primary school year group, Aquila.
