Grandmother’s ‘amazing’ charity skydive

A GRANDMOTHER from Sonning Common raised £2,500 for charity with a skydive.

Barbara Small, 75, of Wood Lane, jumped 10,000ft from a plane above Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury.

The jump was in aid of the Multiple System Atrophy Trust because her 76-year-old husband, Peter, suffers from the rare neurological degenerative disease.

Mrs Small said: “It was absolutely amazing but I was petrified beforehand.

“There was a lot of hanging around while other people were doing it so you get more and more nervous.
