HUNDREDS of people attended the annual bonfire and fireworks display at Camp Mohawk, a day centre for children with special needs near Wargrave, on Saturday night.
Many of the youngsters who use the centre off Highfield Lane were there with their parents.
The display was provided by Neville Burbage of Starfield Fireworks.
There was also a special “quiet” display for children who are not comfortable with loud noises on Sunday.
There was also a large bonfire and food and drink was available. Site manager Matthew Wood said: “It was really successful, there was a good turnout and, as always, an excellent display.
“We also had about 150 people at the quiet display. It’s very popular as it enables children and families who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to go out on fireworks night to have a full night out, complete with camp fire, roasted marshmallows and an excellent display.
“Everyone looks forward to both displays and the event growing more and more popular.
“We’d also like to thank our sponsors, Courtiers and CMJ.”
