A DAY centre for disabled children near Wargrave is appealing for help in raising money for a new £200,000 swimming pool.
Camp Mohawk, in Highfield Lane, says the pool with a retractable roof and changing rooms will replace the current facilities, which are in a shed.
The charity has received £18,000 from Twyford construction company Interserve.
Now it has applied for a grant of up to £25,000 from insurance company Aviva’s community fund but needs more people to register their votes in support online. So far, it has received more than 1,600 votes.
Centre site manager Matthew Wood said: “We haven’t long started this appeal so fingers crossed we will get some votes.”
