THE Garth and South Berks Hunt charity has donated £11,000 to charities including Mencap, Breast Cancer, the Stroke Association, Ebony and Heads Up for Cancer.

The charity, which was formed last year, has 14 members who were previously members of the Kimblewick Hunt.

They organised two cross -country rides, each for about 300 horses, and a quiz night. They plan to do the same again next year plus stage a dog show in March.

Speaking at the charity’s annual meeting, chairman Stuart Gray thanked the team for their hard work, upbeat spirit and professionalism.

A surprise guest at the meeting was Titch, a six-month-old foal who was invited into the kitchen of host and charity member Dee Johnson.
