A DINNER raised almost £4,000 for a Henley counselling charity.

A DINNER raised almost £4,000 for a Henley counselling charity.

More than 90 guests attended the event at St Katherine’s in Parmoor in aid of Riverside Counselling Services.

The charity works with adults and children in the Henley area. The evening comprised a drinks reception followed by the two-course dinner with wine donated by Laithwaites Wines.

David Rigby and his band Guilty performed free and there was an auction with a top prize of a villa holiday. Fund-raiser Emma Lerche-Thomsen thanked all the businesses that supported the dinner, including AWT Restaurants, Dorata hair salon, Henley Festival and Jules Morrow.

She added: “Thank you to Annie Abbey Quinn who worked tirelessly on the table centres and to Paula Price-Davies for the porch decorations and to all those who volunteered to help make the evening such a success.”
