Join Henley Rugby Club for charity night

A CHARITY evening is to be held at Henley Rugby Club tonight (Friday).

A CHARITY evening is to be held at Henley Rugby Club tonight (Friday).

It is being organised by Marcus Richardson and his sister Caroline Cassells, of Norman Avenue, Henley.

Ms Cassells? son-in-law, Jon Livemore, is to swim the Channel in September in support of the Southend Cystic Fibrosis Association and St Luke?s Hospice in Basildon.

She said: ?Although the charities are not local, the event very much is. Marcus and I are part of a large Henley family and our nephew, Sam Richardson, who lives in Southend, suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, so half the money raised will go directly to his local branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

?I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses which have donated raffle and tombola prizes.?

Funeral directors A B Walker & Son, where Ms Cassells is administrator, have donated £100. The event will include a finger buffet, live music, disco, raffle and tombola. Tickets cost £10 each in advance or £15 on the door.
