A TOTAL of £2,015 was raised by Henley Lions’ Santa’s grotto at Toad Hall garden centre.

A TOTAL of £2,015 was raised by Henley Lions’ Santa’s grotto at Toad Hall garden centre.

The money, which will go to Camp Mohawk in Wargrave, was presented at a Lions’ meeting by general manager Martyn Sheldrake to Henley Lions member John Moore and president David Skinner. Mr Moore said: “We take great pride and pleasure in being able to share the joy of this event.

“We received such wonderful and appreciative comments regarding both the venue and the amount of time that each child was able to spend with Santa. Many of the children were also excited to have seen Santa travelling in the Rolls-Royce donated by Hofmann’s of Henley.”

Mr Moore thanked the staff at the garden centre for building the grotto and Henley Self Storage for providing a nearby lock-up facility.
