A NEW bicycle could be won by anyone who registers for the On Your Bike challenge by Friday.

The seventh event, which is sponsored by the Standard, will take place on Sunday, April 28 at Sonning Common Primary School at 10.30am.

Funds raised are split between the school and the Sue Ryder hospice at Nettlebed.

The bike prize is being donated by AW Cycles, of Caversham.

Charlotte Ely, 10 from Sonning Common, said: ?It?s really fun. We did six miles last year and this year I want to do 12 with my mum. Lots of my friends are doing it too.

?My little brother William, three, will probably ride around the playground for the first time.?

Charlotte?s mother, Daphne, said ?We love On Your Bike and it keeps you fit. It?s a great thing to do with the kids.

?It?s exciting too because there are so many people, hundreds of people, of all ages and lots of families.

?You sometimes see three generations of the same family all riding along together.?

Entry fees are £5 per person in advance, or £7 each on the day itself, subject to availability. Enter online at www.onyourbikesonningcommon.co.uk
