A TEAM GB cycle helmet will be arriving in Hambleden on Tuesday.

Staff from Hillbrooke Hotels, who are cycling 280 miles between the group’s eight hotels in aid of Head Smart, have been loaned the helmet which was used at the London Olympics.

They will reach The Stag and Huntsman at about 3.30pm and will allow people to try on the helmet for a £5 donation to the charity.

John Crompton, a senior operations manager a rider, said: “This has been something I’ve wanted to do since becoming friends with the Langton-Gilks family who live in the same Wiltshire village as me and lost their son in 2007 to a brain tumour.

“Since then, I’ve been really keen to help and promote Head Smart, which helps families of young children and teenagers recognise the first symptoms of a brain tumour. I wanted to help raise awareness.”
